Dezentral (part I), artspring festival, group show at Zeiss-Planetarium Berlin
5 – 26 May 2019, opening: 5th May, 11 am – 1 pm,
Zeiss-Großplanetarium

installation view Planetarium Berlin Prerequisite for the participation in the festival and exhibitions is, in addition to the operation of their own studio in the district, professional artistic work. For this reason, a possible thematic or curatorial superstructure was deliberately omitted: rather an inventory is the aim of the exhibition. All conceivable media will be represented. The organizers are also looking forward to the current state of art production in Pankow, Weißensee and Prenzlauer Berg. The exhibitions in the Zeiss-Großplanetarium and the Janusz-Korczak-Bibliothek reflect this approach. In the vastness of our district, they should give visitors the opportunity to get to know art from Pankow in one place. From them, on the weekend of the open studios on 1 and 2 June, the journey to the studio of the favorite artist * can be started.artspring decentral wants to use the infrastructure of public facilities in the district and thus strengthen the local networking idea.Another artspring exhibition therefore takes place (for artists from Pankow) in the Janusz-Korczak-Bibliothek and there are numerous other in the festival month of May in other places additional offers, which can be viewed at www.artspring.berlin.
The festival newspaper also supports the exploration with detailed information on all participating artists. In addition to the many individual studios, shops and project rooms, you can also discover the large studio houses in the district.

Exhibition: The Perennial Art Show/ O Tannenbaum
20 – 31 December 2018, opening 20th December, 6 pm Hermannstrasse 232, Berlin Neukoelln
curator:
Witte Wartena, http://wittewartena.nl
Witte Wartena is the founder of the association “Perennial Art”. Perennial Art is a group of contemporary artists that curate exhibitions within temporary spaces. Our aim is to introduce selected artists to a new public. By inviting emerging and established international contemporaries, our aim is to introduce the public to a diverse and interesting group of artists. Perennial hopes this idea will flourish and lead to further more exciting exhibitions in the future. After the first exhibition each artist featured in the show will then transport /transplant our work to their country of residence, acting as the secondary stem/off roots. By having the second exhibition in their city the new roots are planted allowing room to flourish on foreign soil.
